HUMIDOR INSTRUCTIONS

**Always open your humidor carefully so no stress is put on the
often-delicate hinges.
-
Position and mount the Humidifier and Hygrometer
in the lid of your new humidor. Over time, these items may loosen
or come off due to high humidity levels and may need to be reattached.
-
Using a damp cloth, moistened with distilled
or purified water, wipe down the cedar on the inside of your
new humidor (base only – do not wipe inside lid, this
puts too much stress on hinges). This should be done daily for
the first few days.
-
Fill the humidifier with Tobacconist Trusted
SM HAVANA FOG ™ pre-mixed propylene glycol Solution (this
solution is already pre-mixed, do not cut or dilute this product
with water). This naturally anti-fungal solution will regulate
the humidity for you. Or, you can use distilled or purified
water (DO NOT USE TAP WATER), although using distilled or purified
water will lead to fungus build up and crystallization of your
humidifier lowering its performance. Once you have filled up
the humidifier, shake out the excess water and dry the outside
off using a dry cloth to keep excess solution from dripping
out into your box (which could stain the cedar a blue color).
- It is recommended to use a DIGITAL HYGROMETER. Analog hygrometers
are often inaccurate. If your humidor came with an analog hygrometer,
follow the priming instructions that accompanied it for best results.
We now offer sharp looking small round digital gauges which replace
the analogs that often come standard issue in most humidors.
**The humidor TEMPERATURE should be kept between: 60 F –
70 F.
(Keep your humidor in a relatively cool place).
**The humidor HUMIDITY should be kept between: 65% - 73%.
(If your humidity gets too low, add HAVANA FOG ™ SOLUTION.
If it gets to high (say 75% or higher), add HAVANA FOG ™ SOLUTION
and move humidor to a cooler location to bring the humidity level
back down.)
Good Luck breaking in your new box. If you have any questions,
